MISSIONARIES OF JESUS THE DIVINE MASTER - MIDM

This is a group of Diocesan priest who have formed up an association for Missionary activity they have now moved further to a state of a Congregation “Missionary of Jesus the Divine Master” “As experientum” under the Diocesan Decree for five years. Their special apostolate is the education of the youth in schools and they also run three parishes. The priests include:

APOSTLES OF JESUS - AJ

We have the missionary group of the Apostles of Jesus working in Arua Diocese. They are running Oluko Parish where there are three priests, Obi Parish has three priests and Ajumani Parish has two priests. We also have priests who come from Arua Diocese in this Congregation.


COMBONI MISSIONARIES OF THE HEART OF JESUS - MCCJ

We have Comboni Missionaries. They are 13 in number. There are two in Moyo House of Prayer, three in Lodonga Space and the rest are running two parishes in the diocese.

 


COMBONI MISSIONARY SISTERS - CMS

There are 3 Comboni sisters who are at Ediofe Mission working in the Health Centre and the Cathedral Parish.
We have also some of the sons and daughters of Arua Diocese who belong to this Missionary group. They are…

 


 

LITTLE SISTERS OF MARY IMMACULATE [GULU]

The Little sisters of Mary Immaculate of Gulu have five communities.

 


SACRED HEART SISTERS - MOYO

There are the Sacred Heart Sisters of Juba with a provincial seat in Uganda at Moyo parish of Arua Diocese. They are 28 in number.

 


 

SISTERS OF MARY MOTHER OF THE CHURCH

There are four communities of the Missionary Sister of Mary Mother of the Church in Arua Duiocese. The sisters are generally teachers in primary and secondary schools. Others are involved in the care of the sick in the health centres.

 


SISTERS OF THE HOLY TRINITY [CONTEMPLATIVES]

This is an institute of diocesan rite and was founded by the Late Bishop Angelo Tarantino the first bishop of Arua Diocese. Their apostolate is prayer and contemplation. Their convent is at Ediofe.

 


BROTHERS OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY - MARIAN BROTHERS

This is a religious institute of diocesan rite founded in 1954. They number 50 professed brothers. Their apostolate is the Christian formation of the youth. They are teachers in the primary, technical and secondary schools. Four of the members have been ordained priests to cater for their Spiritual needs.
